That Pseudo PatriotismA Poem by Gurdeep...The Lost That Pseudo Patriotism As from the cradle, the little one rose, Himself he admired and embraced close. With time,to himself he got near, He cared for his wants, and was his 'dear'. Then, as maturity spread it's wings, His love developed for people and things. Family and friends, dear became. Love for them, his heart did claim. As he let the circle of care to expand, Then there developed, love for his land, The place where he played, and where he grew, The sunshine, the rain, and the wind that blew ! This wonderful love was developing in stages, But as has happened since many ages, The expansion of the love, then suddenly ceased, When only with his land he seemed to be pleased. Then came his 'pride' of belonging to his land, That part of earth where he does stand. "Patriotism"-the love for 'motherland', seemed scarce Which divided the Mother Earth into his and their's ! Only if this love would've expanded more, Universal unity would've been it's core, Realization would've been of 'peace' as aim, Devoid of futile divisions, of the mother same. © 2015 Gurdeep...The LostReviews
