COME TO MEA Poem by Gurdeep...The Lost Kabīr man nirmal bẖa▫i▫ā jaisā gangā nīr || Pācẖẖai lāgo har firai kahaṯ Kabīr Kabīr || (Kabeer, my mind has become immaculate, like the waters of the Ganges. Now, the Lord follows after me, calling, "K abeer! Kabeer!") ~~(Salok Bhagat Kabeer Ji-o ke, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee:Ang 1367) COME TO ME Shouts, shouts hither and thither, The Creator Lord is to be found whither? We utter His Name, but are driven by our mind, We dwell in desires of every kind. On our mouth, rests his word, But the cries for help, are never heard. With rituals in action, others we hurt, With a burdened heart, which is full of dirt. "Lord! Lord!", we shout, but He doesn't appear, We seek Nirvana by uttering words sheer. Something we chant, with something else in mind, Our heart with the Lord, how shall bind? We call upon Him,but never walk on His path, We remain slaves to your jollity and wrath. In what we recite, is guidance bright, But we love the dark, and shun the light! It's all a play of the mind, we'll know, When the seeds of Truth in our heart, we'll sow. Then bearing fruits of compassion, shall emerge a tree, From the bonds of our vices, we shall be free! With all in us, and us in all, When we''ll walk together and never fall, We'll take Him as all, and all as Him, And calmly shall echo the celestial hymn. There'll be no shouts, when cleansed is our soul, We'll be in ecstasy, in our life whole. Hither or thither, wherever we'll be, The Creator shall call, "Come to me!".
