Invisibility

Invisibility

A Poem by KamikazeCat
"

because people keep asking how I REALLY feel, so here you go

"
I always had a feeling
That I was alive
But never really there.

To have people see you,
But never seek you.
To have people hear you,
But never listen.

I was, and am
Invisible.

A ghost in plain sight.
They claim they care.
They claim they understand.
They know how it feels.

They don't.
They don't.
They don't.

They don't understand of waking up,
And realizing that nothing has changed.

Like a ghost, people claim they believe in you.
You exist.
You are real.

You're not, and you know it,
So do they.

You don't matter, and
The fact that no one sees you
Justifies it even more.

You're nothing worth seeing.
You're pathetic.
A waste.
A hopeless sack of failure
With nothing to their name.

Who wants to see that?

Nobody.

In the end,
I'll do what is best for me
And stay invisible.

No one can hurt you,
When you are not there.
