Catamaran

Catamaran

A Poem by GPK

The sun dips into the horizon across the wide expansive bay. The pastel colors glistens’ off the gentle currents of the wave. It was sure a fantastic day to take the catamaran out, but dusk will turn to the darkness of night soon, so we must make it back to shore. Treading back, the bow glides through the waves, pushing the stream onto both side of the wooden frame. Water splashes onto the deck and the wind even binges the mist and dew upon the skin of our brows. We hit shore, and pull the rigging onto the land. My mate hands me the basket of tonight’s feast. Tonight, we will eat like kings.
