Gifts

A Poem by Noru
"

Just a short little poem about love and loss

"
I gave you gifts of gold,
for a place to sleep and grow old.

I have you gifts of alabaster,
for all your time, for love to grow faster.

I gave you gifts of steel,
for those wounds you feel will never heal.

I gave you gifts of blood,
for us to see each other and be understood.

I gave you gifts of stone,
for now I know I'll be alone.

Author's Note

Noru
I'm not really that concerned about the syllable count in the poem.
