WaitingA Poem by GgTellsYou - Keep Smiling!!
Everything falls quiet.
The wind has collapsed for me, waiting. Waiting for me to speak, break the awkward silence. But I'm sitting on the post, waiting for someone else's appearance. The sight of not a pair of human eyes. Not the the bristling fur of a watchful predator or prey. But for the sweet taste of light rain in my mouth. For the clouds to gather, just for me. The gently, unfathomable mist of delightful spring. Even the life around me begs, longs, despairs for the something that declines us that relief. Perhaps we are undeserving of that, but by now, its reaction and dependence. We need the taps on our skin and the death of life to end. Rising up out of the dry dust is essential for us. Alas, the wind and I will sit and wait. For as long as we need do so. We've done it before. Waited for the rain.
