“The Red Rocket”

“The Red Rocket”

A Poem by G. A. Bernard

“The Red Rocket”
Time stops as the wheels turn
In rhythm to the pedals
The wind whistles through my helmet
Reminding me I am alive
My mind now free to explore opportunities
Not available to those out for a stroll
My body transcends its age and feels adolescent
My soul content as this freedom machine glides
along the windswept
Paths of my imagination
