Thanks so much. I use Haiku and Tanka formats to force me into being brief and still resonate with the reader

I'll have to try my hand at Haiku. I attended a class with special needs students, that I worked with in a junior high school, and we learned about writing Haiku.

My pieces are using the Haiku format 5-7-5 and 5-7-5-7-7 for the Tanka but stray from the traditioned Japanese which I am ok with but I am sure the traditionalists feel I am over-stepping which is fine by me
