(Untitled 2)

(Untitled 2)

A Poem by GARf
"

The first stanza of this one actually happened literally. The rest is more... figuartive imagination. Oh, and apparently, I get a lot of inspiration while driving. Go figure :P

"

My tires have passed this way before-
My lights played off the bony trees-
I never smelled you in this place before
I have no idea why it was today I was reminded of you.
Why, out of all the times I've gone this way
I remember the few I shared with you.

We crashed just down the way from here-
Not with twisted metal, broken glass
But with words.
Words that could cut deeper then any shard or sliver ever could.

I'd like to think we both made it out alive-
At least, I did
I may not have walked away from the smouldering wreck that was our life,
But I healed.
There are scars, yes, and tears that can't be uncried-
But these make up a part of who I am.

I knew you then, or so I thought-
(I'm not sure about anything anymore)
I'm not the same person I was then, either-
Did your scars heal you as well?
