Unicorn

Unicorn

A Poem by G. Harrison Quay

UNICORN

Back when God created

this little blue ball

he created all the animals

both large and small.

Horses, deer and antelope,

cats and puppy dogs,

elephants and dinosauers ,

wooly sheep and hogs.

Lions, goats and tigers,

but with its golden horn,

the loveliest of them all

was the unicorn.

The playful, happy unicorn

with coat of snowy white

danced and pranced and capered

from early morn 'til night.

They brought great joy and happiness

to all who saw them play,

and made the world a brighter place

through each and every day.

But unicorns were majikal

and when the majik died,

the unicorns died with it

and all the whole world cried.

There are many lovely animals

but with its golden horn,

the loveliest of them all

was the unicorn.
