I JUST GOT BACK

I'm missing old friends

I just got back to the Cafe today.

For so many months I was gone.

So many friends left while I was away

I don't really feel I belong.

 

I tried to find old friends from before,

I spent hours searching the roll.

Of new faces there are so many more

but of those I knew time took it's toll.

 

Those old friends I know I will miss

but I'm happy I could find a few

of the old faithful still on the list

amongst all those faces so new.

Many of us have left because the cafe has changed too much. We're all looking for help with our writing and not just a "good job" and we fear that this place has stopped helping us.

This was a good poem to just say hi and everything. I think we'll all miss the ones who have left and hopefully they'll return. Good poem!
