I LOOK FOR BEAUTY

I LOOK FOR BEAUTY

A Poem by G. Harrison Quay
"

An old one that will be new to some of you.

"

I look for beauty everywhere
In all its many guises,
I find beauty in many things
The "normal" world despises.

I find beauty in the very old
As well as the very young,
I find it in poems never read
And songs that will never be sung.

I find it in a broken watch
And a tarnished old brass ring,
I find it in the leaves of Fall
And in a tire swing.

I find beauty in deep romance
And in a casual fling,
I find beauty in everyone
And almost any thing.
