Taken from MeA Poem by Brandon M. WhittakerI was sick of working for the day so I took a break and went to my rack, pulled out a notebook and scribbled down some poems...here's one of them.Hair soft as silk, a mane of sheer divinity Her eyes catch and hold, drowning me in the abyss of their beauty. Her voice is like song, gorgeously carrying a melody of angelic causality A body lithe and slender, graceful and captivating...Perfect. Such beauty was mine to hold, until she was torn away from me. My arms fall to my sides, unable to reach for her as she slips further and further away Tears fall from blue orbs of vision, stinging and blinding. She fades away completely, leaving me to brave the dark alone She was taken from me And my heart has shattered My soul erodes away The tears dry themselves out All that's left are rasping sobs And the disturbing darkness of lonliness. © 2009 Brandon M.
