Embrace the FearA Poem by Brandon M. WhittakerJust a little poem I came up with while out on liberty, I wrote it down on a napkin.
It tears at the mind like a flesh eating bug
Rendering thoughts of pain and hatred There is no escape There is no way to fight it There's nothing to stop it Rabid bits of energy leave your pores Leaving you frozen Wide-eyed, rigid Your heart pounds in your chest Leaving the sound of war-drums in your brain Each beat of the simplistic anomaly kills a thought There's only one thing to do Embrace it, tear it apart with your mind Force it away Embrace the fear Or it will destroy you © 2008 Brandon M.
