Will You Be Mine?

Will You Be Mine?

A Poem by Brandon M. Whittaker
"

I wrote this for someone I care about greatly, her name's Jessica.

"

Your image fills my mind

I think of you, I dream of you

My dreams entwine with reality

Sucking the life from my cold loveless slumber

Awakening

Shaking the feeling of loneliness

The images flood my  mind

Forcing me out of comatus

And into realistic insomnia

Caught by your eyes

Held in place by your care

But do you love, or do you not?

My depravity fades

And my path is clear

I think I've found something I thought so hard to find...

Will you be mine?

I think I had the same reaction to this piece Brandon that you had to my "Dreams of You" poem. Beautifully penned and the feeling flows right out of your words with every line.

"And my path is clear
I think I've found something I thought so hard to find...
Will you be mine?

Intense! What a perfect ending. I don't think you could have said it any better. I love it.
