The Wreckage

The Wreckage

A Poem by Patrick Lee

Collapsing cage of death imploding

crushing the passengers inside.

Their skulls cracking, an indication

the damage to their minds.

As death takes hold within the impact

the twisted metals fold

Broken bodies mangled, dismembered limbs,

flesh torn to the bone.

With a high speed explosion

the stagnant air is filled with death.

Amongst the shattered wreckage

the twisted bodies lay to rest.

Great dark description of a wreck, a little frightening, which I guess was the point. :)

Good imagery, short and sweet [so to speak] I like it.
