One-sided Love?

One-sided Love?

A Poem by Virtue
"

A love unbeknownst to the young girl who knows not what love is.

"
He's dug his vines in on the walls around her heart;
has crept into her only sanctuary.
Yet she feels she has let him in,
even in her own reluctance.
She's afraid to love, to give her passion.
Afraid to lose herself,
afraid he will take all she is.
It deters her from her thoughts
but reels her back in
just in time.
His vines are hard to be rid of
to let rot,
even if she shed no rain or light.
Yet he needs no light
nor rain.
Just her every heartbeat,
his intention never to let go.

This poem was an incredibly delightful read, the words spoke music. Great talent. Glad this was my first read on this site :)

I don't write a lot (and I really haven't shared my writings much with others), but when I get the inspiration to write I am reminded of how much I love it. I fill my quiet time with music and books a.. more..
