Moonlight Monologue

Moonlight Monologue

A Poem by Fullmetal_tmd
"

Has nothing to do with the moon talking.

"
I can’t seem to forget
The time when this island floated upright
Then again
That was before the throne room was riddled
With the veins of humanity
Flowing rampantly
It was a time when safety was painted green
And when death was blind
Man was the enemy
Even to themselves
Exploitation of the weak was their law
And power could be gained through little pieces of paper
With the portraits of dead men plastered on them
This throne has grown cold since then
But even the dead have an impact
Even if it’s just their grave
So would you like me to turn off the lights
Or would you like to see when the wolves strike?

"And power could be gained through little pieces of paper

This was an especially moving excerpt.
Good on you.
