23 years old now you living in the sky

You say you love your man but he makes you cry

You start feeling worse as the days go by

Telling you "You aint s**t"

And the worst part, you believe it!

People reach out but you just lie

He started off pushing you now you got rings around your eye!

You friends can't help no matter how hard they try

Cause you feel it and inside you jus want to die

He loves me and that's all you can say

You once was his everything but now it's a new day

Everyday gets worse but you let it fly

Never say nothing and tears fall from the sky

"I love him," you say but you love him why?

And when you ask him he gives you no reply

A very sad piece here. Your style comes through when you say "living in the sky" versus "gone to Heaven"....it is a unique reference which I see a lot of in your writing :-)

Knowing and caring about someone that is in an abusive relationship is one of the most frustrating things....for reasons we'll never know, they feel that they deserve to be treated that way by a selfish monster with no regard for anything. You've portrayed it well here.
