Graduation DayA Poem by Jessica Fulcher![]() I read this in front of 600 People on my graduation day.![]() Look around at the faces amongst you. Just sit and take it in, Everyone has a hand to hold, As this chapter comes to a bittersweet end. We never thought we'd make it this far, Through all the ups and downs, excitement and fear. As we turn and walk down our separate paths, It's okay to shed some tears. Questions tend to crowd our minds, Of where we'll go and what we'll do. Will we remember all the laughs and cries? I don't know if I'll make it through. Butterflies fill our stomachs, As one by one, we walk the stage The windows are opening one by one. As the world behind us fades. Don't think about what you'll miss, For this life has just begun. We're barely at the starting line, We've got a race to run. Don't let anything beat this feeling Smile and laugh, take a bow. Friends are made, Lessons learned. Nothing can stop us now. Our hearts are racing out of our chests. There's nothing left to say. Except, We finally made it! Happy Graduation Day. © 2010 Jessica FulcherAuthor's Note
