~Within The Recesses Of Learning~

~Within The Recesses Of Learning~

A Poem by Colin

They are there,

just beyond redemption,
tugging loose hair into feelings,
no matter how we try to ignore pain.

sharp edges cut our smile,
soft subtle furrows
of refracted remembrances
[ice storm weathered
by too many tears.]

What we felt
accuses us, celluloid evidence
caught between maybe and never,

and yet still they linger.
