Disdain

Disdain

A Poem by John
"

As my teacher said, "This is a great representation in words of those moments we feel nothing anymore."

"

Filled with anguish-

I'm left lingering in the dust of my abandoned remains

The blade of life pierces my heart in times of grief-

Bound by fear-stranded away from hope

So real and pure-yet I am left aside

Where I am free from my self-delusion of endearment

I am truly left alone-

Loneliness has outmatched the entities

That brought joy from beyond this hallowing shell
