Armor of Spite

Armor of Spite

A Poem by Arctic Fox

Shackled to fear and uncertainty.

Blinded by lies of reality.

Guarded by hands from my current past.

Muted by internal fear that will always last.

I wish to speak but my hearts full of gall.

I wish to be true my lies are ever so tall.

And if I had the guts to speak my mind,

There would be nothing left, no skin or hide.

Eros's teeth devour my years,

And her melodic voice speaks truth into my ears.

Although Erida holds my heart tightly;

Her fingers, slowly pierce me intently.

May my decaying heart be healed one day,

And be freed from the fiends that wish to stay.

Okay, so I think I kinda understand this one. From this persons view, this person is lying and is afraid of speaking there mind or speaking the truth. This one mentally challenged my brain because I almost couldn't even try to explain this.

You could use better transitional words but the message and tone was carried through the poem amazingly and the message itself was powerful. Great work, keep it up!
