Four WallsA Poem by Frozen EyesCould be something else!Confined to the four walls of glazed glass, She had been bound to think and over think Her imaginations turned into illusions, Between fake and reality she'd lost link! Oh yes! She had been creative once! Designed wonderful poems and stories; About people and places, warfare and nature, Countries and worlds, passages and rhymes of glories. But the confinement altered everything; Innovation ruined, led to wrecking of thoughts; Like a bird in a cage she fluttered her wings, Escape strategies turned creativity into devious plots. Helpless and hopeless between the four walls, She watched faith slip away gradually burning her soul She tried to cling on to it with all her strength though, Agony was her only ally then, everything else foul! She plotted and planned, calculated her scheme; To no positive outcome had she reached, Turned every cell in her brain upside down. But Alas, the four walls couldn't be breached! Finally, for one last time, she tried her best, Accumulated all her energy and strength. The last endeavor to break through And ultimately in the walls there was a vent! Fresh air gushed in, she took a deep breath of revival In a split second she recollected the time she spend, Entrapped in the four walls, and her struggle of survival The interlude of "writer's block" had come to an end! © 2015 Frozen EyesAuthor's Note
