Fill my Blank Canvas!

Dedicated to a friend "L" :)

It was blank for many a years

I kept staring at it and wondered

What should I fill it with?

What would it take to create a masterpiece?

Should I take refuge to nature?

Or perhaps sketch the state of The State?

What could be so intriguing?

To take my breath away...

To bring my wonton eyes some solace!

And then I had the thought

As if it sat always there

But I failed to notice earlier

It would be like my dream come true!

If I could reach out to the sky

And touch the rainbow,

I'd steal the colours from it

On my blank canvas I'd paint YOU!
