Small Town Girl

a few lines about "ME"

I dont have a high-class descent

Neither do I speak in western accent

Im at loss of ornate vocabulary

But happy to be in this segment

 

My hair is mostly undone

Gorgeous gowns I dont wear

Im as simple as my attire

Blending in the country air

 

Im amateur in using make-up

Confused even with shades of grey

Mostly unnoticed by people

'cause Im a small town girl

 

You tell me Im puny and almost 

Scream on my face to prove your point

Yet I lose my patience seldom

Doesn't that really disappoint?

 

Yes, I love to watch the sunset

Walk lonely in the rain

Do a lot of silly things and smile

Cry like a baby when in pain

 

I dress carelessly, have got no poise

I dont know how to make my skirt sway

Perhaps overlooked often in the city noise

Im unknown of your lavish ways

 

You see me everyday here and there

On the busy sidewalks I swirl

Finding my place in this World of yours

I really love this because though I live in the city, I would much prefer a small town. I'm not one to wear fancy clothes or know everyone. I love the honesty you put into this and I can mostly relate to the 5th stanza. Small things make me smile and I never expect too much from people. Beautifully done!
