Quicksands

Quicksands

A Poem by FrozenButHere
"

I'm slipping away

"
Go ahead and hold me as tight as you can,
Every second you're not here i start to slip,
A part of me screams to just grip my hand,
It was us just walking away without a plan,
To leave everything in the past new lifes,
Travel across the states see city lights,
Take shifts who would drive at night,
I called you baby but you were my moonlight,
Winter smoke i can't free from my lungs,
Face cold winds but no hitchhiker thumbs,
I can't fade let me sink into your love,
I care too much just seeing you quit,
what happened our whole mood just hit a shift,
Rambling how you can't look into my eyes,
Everytime you just get lost into these tides,
Yet i find myself unable to cry,
I wake up slip away into reality drowning in these quicksands,
