What They Have

I want what they have.

Something kind.
Something sweet.

I want someone to look at me the way he looks at her.

With adoration.
With full acceptance of the flaws.

I want to see someone the way she sees him.

With a sight that sees all they are.
With a vision that sees all they could be.

I want someone to hold me the way they hold each other.

The care that shows.
The possessive grip that proudly says, “This person is my one.”

I want a love like the one they share.

They lean on each other and support one another, happily giving that one person their all.

I want someone like that to appear.

Perfect for her, perfect for him.
Something that can’t be described with words.
Something that’s understood and shown with every gaze they share.
A love that knows no bounds.

I want what they have, and mine will come in time.
I guess that Cupid just to take a certain stride when it comes to picking someone you’ll be with for life.

I wrote this when I saw a couple the other day. They had the most beautiful aura about them and before I knew it, I'd written this.
