Unfaithful

Unfaithful

A Poem by Ellie W. Montreal
"

And I know that he knows I'm unfaithful and it kills him inside to know that I am happy with some other guy.

"

Sleep,

I love you.

You're there for me when I need you.

You're my escape,

My vacation from my problems.

I trust you with my problems.

I confide in you.

Sleep,

I need you.

You help me with my days.

You make me stronger.

I can’t go a day without you.

Sleep,

I barely see you.

I’m just so busy these days,

And I would love to see you again.

Sleep,

I’m losing interest in you.

There are other things keeping my eyes open,

Like movies, parties, friends, and the one I love.

Sleep,

I have been cheating on you.

With someone so sweet.

Instead of spending every moment sleeping,

I spend my moments with that person.

I’m sorry, sleep.

It’s over.

Can we still be friends?

This is really clever. A little bit cliche in parts, but it's not a big deal. I still really enjoyed this. :)
