I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)

I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes)

A Poem by Ellie W. Montreal
"

I'm Melting?

"

Holding places inside our hearts,
They were so empty and vacant before;
Until that person strides in and buys themselves a condominium in your heart.
At first, you're alarmed, frustrated, wishing they would leave your once-cold-and-deprived organ be.

But they won't.
And as time passes, you get used to the warm-and-fulling feeling they leave in your heart.
You're pleased with their presence, and you want them to stay.
You can't imagine being miserable again, because you'd commit suicide if they migrated back North,
and left your heart alone.

The warm feeling grows hotter,
But you don't mind heat, seeing as you were so cold before you met them.
They can't stand it, they want a way out.
But if you burn out, they're ashes are going to be found too.

I must say that I actually enjoyed reading this poem.
I could relate to it more than you could ever know & it made my heart happy.

I hope the boy that bought his first condo in my heart won't be forced to forclose due to the economy either.

Keep it up, please and thanks!
