![]() Embrace and Exchange.A Poem by Ellie W. Montreal![]() "If you think that a kiss is on the lips, come on, you got it all wrong."![]()
Dawn goes into dusk.
I'm stumbling on ways to get out, to get out. Dusk goes into dawn, it's a new day. I'm skipping over anything mentionable, anything. 'When will this phase end?', I think to myself as the cool shade of paranoia fades to burning enlightenment. No, it's not a phase. It won't go away. It won't go away. It's sunset, and I'm still running from imaginary deadlines. Hoping the moon won't see me. The moon! No! I have to be away from the moon! The cool auras won't coincide. They won't coincide. It's sunrise, and I'm slowly pacing to embrace the time out in the summer sun. Feeling the sun's rays on my smooth, tan skin. The sun, ah, how I wish I could be near you.. You and I are more compatible than expected. We're more compatible than expected. Dawn goes into dusk, and the sun leaves its warm spot to trade with the moon's cool seat. Dusk goes into dawn, and the moon leaves the sun's spot once more to return to it's seat. The sun and the moon, they exchange looks and glances. But they never speak one on one.. They look, but never speak. © 2008 Ellie W. MontrealAuthor's Note
