PrologueA Chapter by FriskaBeing with a group of my friends at a nightclub had always been a good pastime, creating fond memories that would stay with me forever. Unfortunately this particular memory wasn’t like the others. It was a night just like any other had been, dancing to songs and letting loose. That is until we heard the screaming and cries rang out, suddenly random strangers were fighting against one in another to a senseless battle to the death. Blood splattered onto the floor in what seemed like an endless stream of horror, as I stayed watching with wide eyes my friends were taken out, a man ran up to me with bloodshot eyes and a murderous grin. As I began to back away I tripped like something right out of a horror film and as soon as I did I felt the cold steel of a knife being sliced into my shin causing a burning pain to ignite throughout my body. I yelled out and the man who forever ruined my shin was then tackled and killed by another patron, after what seemed like a lifetime the room was quiet, everyone inside was dead or about to be. The only ones alive were me and the random show woman who thankfully wasn’t insane and called an ambulance. As the paramedics brought me toward the blaring sirens I blacked out and again I woke up in my bed, three years after the incident and I remember every gruesome detail, the pain in my shin reigniting just as a painful reminder, these nightmares are all I have and probably ever will have.© 2016 Friska
