The Poor Men's BrawlA Poem by Frifthor (D^2)Bit I wrote for creative writing one day.As the orb descended The men began to rise Clouded, cloaked, and hooded Away from prying eyes Off along the track they went To the now grey east Confused and disillusioned None thinking in the least Prejudice reached out her hand And took a score or more Then reaction glanced at bloodied lands And declared them now at war But the silent men in single row Meet now those in their pods Each side to silence the other man And even voting odds Four hundred years of hatred borne Will keep these two at war Not a thought to end it all Now that the rich are poor For the Orange and the Green once shared These things formerly called sons But wealth in youth has passed away Underneath the hooded guns
