Time to MatureA Poem by Friday JuniorWe are all getting older, so try to understand...
Tell me a tale
About avoiding failure For I am afraid of it Like a forgotten savior As it could happen to me I would rather be free So let nature sing it's own prideful song And only the lonely will sing along... Some of us have matured While others fight and kill It's absurd It's time to grow up, my children It's time to mature, my chosen It's time for reasoning and intellect Is this a notion of ignorance, I detect? Tell me a story Of some future glory As I sleep with my pillow Tucked away As I say to you, I am sorry Like a million times already I have no more to say On this my final day Of blood and broken bones For the love of my lady... Some of us have matured While others fight and kill It's absurd It's time to grow up, my children It's time to mature, my chosen It's time for reasoning and intellect Is this a notion of ignorance, I detect?
