Stop, Look and ListenA Poem by Friday JuniorThe days grow shorter and we need to look into life.
A world without negation
Gives rise to our taking situations A little bit more seriously Than they say it ought to be But I am more than happy for now... I feel as though Our lives could be better Not everyone wants to be A grandma knitting sweaters I prefer treasure and lovers so clever Where people take care And we feel it in the air Our second chance falls away Somewhere... Stop, look and listen The world must close in On our deeds of past which remain to be forgiven... If I prove to you We could live forever I know you would pass on These hidden treasures But if we all cared for each other The world would last Another hundred years And we could find comfort While fighting off the fear... Stop, look and listen The world must close in On our deeds of past which remain to be forgiven... © 2016 Friday Junior |
