Now That's my BrotherA Poem by Friday JuniorHelping me see the light, my brother!Every now and then Since I can't pretend I think of you And all my dreams come true And so my life of grafting is through Every once in a while I get a smile From a front-line warrior Who escaped the corner Where ambushed soldiers kill To turn another cheap thrill At the end of the day When I think I must pray By the battle fatigue I feel I know you're close With a vital repose And a hot cooked meal anyway Now that's my brother See the man in action Now that's my brother Full of satisfaction... I see these things Like a lifetime of sins And soon there will be no mercy Or compassion from the adversary And us damned will go our way Leaving a trail of debts to pay Now that's my brother See the man in action Now that's my brother Full of satisfaction... © 2016 Friday Junior |
