Death AliveA Poem by Friday JuniorA cynical poem about life
I've never loved you more
Now that you have passed I have never seen you so peaceful Now our relative insanity is grasped I have fought with stronger lovers And I have never warned the others When we sat together quietly as a team... Dying alive is what we wanted A memory both of us haunted I've never been loved more Now that I am gone I lived my plain existence Only once more To see what I have done To excite the lovers And pull my cover While reaching for my gun... Dying alive is what we wanted A memory both of us haunted Now we both feel so alive Taking cover before they arrive Those hometown boys and girls And those who thought our little world Would fall apart to loose ends I want you to know We should have remained friends Before we had to go Back to the unseen war...
