Leap

Leap

A Chapter by Frida Zaragoza
"

This is just a piece that I'm working on at the moment. It just a flashback for one of my characters, Natalie. She is remembering how she had a chance to go on a adventure but chose not to take a leap

"

“We’re a perfect match. I have blue hair and you with red.” says Ellipse, leaning on Natalie's back. Both of them lay near a river that divided the Classy town from the Royalties; however, both of them just saw it as that; a river not a divider.

“Yet you posses the power of seeing the future while I’m a prophet of wonders.” added Natalie, leaning on Ellipse back.

“Hey! I just thought of a new idea-slash-adventure.” exclaim Ellipse.

“Oh boy! Another day in the doghouse.” tease Natalie, where usually both of them end up being. Ellipse would think of a fun game to play that would always got them into trouble.

Ignoring Natalie's comment, Ellipse says,“We should set out on a journey.”

“ A journey, where?” Natalie says puzzle at Ellipses idea. There was hardly any place left for the both of them too journey into. Ellipse and Natalie knew Sanctuary like the back of their hands, so Natalie was intrigued when she suggest them too take a journey.

“We will journey beyond the Light.” Ellipse says, pointing directly towards the crystal that hovered north of the Kingdom. Natalie said nothing, and stay quiet for a moment trying to process what she just heard her best friend said. Leave Sanctuary?, she taught.

“Where would we go, Ellipse” says Natalie”, its not like being here where home is close by if we get tired.”

“ Natalie you don’t see the big picture that I’m trying to explain.  We can go anywhere beyond the light, leave the comfort of our safe zone. Just think about it for a minute, you and I, two young brave-well I’m brave you're just caution.” Natalie rolled her eyes.” Think of the excitement we could have everyday.”

“But Sanctuary is our home...” says Natalie.

Ellipse turned around grabbing both of Natalie's wrists, and pulled up her sleeves revealing cursive writing tattooed on Natalie's skin.

“Do you see these?” asked Ellipse.

“Yes.” says Natalie caution.

“No. I mean really look at these carefully.” says Ellipse, her eyes locked on Natalie.

Natalie was confused at what she was trying too make her look at. The two tattoos on her arms had specific meaning: the right arm was writing of a good prophet, and the left arm was writing of a bad prophet. One leading to death the other a second chance.

“Your mother gave you two choices, something she never had.” says Ellipse seeing Natalie's eyes widen. She knew that she hit Natalie's weak spot, and she felt bad too say it too her, but she needed to make her realize that she has a choice; and if she didn't act upon it, then she would one day regret it.

Thank you!, I'm happy you enjoyed it:]
You do really well with dialogue- and not many do.

I like where this is going. You seem like a good writer.

About
I dislike this part when the website you applied to asks you for a small description about yourself. I never know what to write about me. I suppose I can start with by saying I'm a young fresh writer .. more..
