In Memory of Ann.

In Memory of Ann.

A Poem by Marie
"

A little tribute to my dear neighbour and friend whom I enjoyed evening walks with until she crossed over to Spirit...

"

On evenings like this, I sit and think of you
when the sun is sinking low.
I think of all the walks we enjoyed
so many years ago.

Down the cemetery, through the park
and then down to the river.
We sat and watched the world go by
as fish jumped in ripples of silver.

We spoke about ‘The Circus of Life’
its many ups and downs,
the animals, the artists, the many, many clowns.
How brief life is, here then gone.

We walked home in twilight
as Mother Nature hummed an evening song.
You have now returned home to Spirit,
reunited with loved ones there.
No more you’ll walk this side of heaven,
God has you in His care.

Goodbye dear friend, ‘til next we meet,
I know it will be soon
but, no more we’ll walk with Mother Nature
beneath the silvery moon!

Thank you, Amy...
You too...
A beautiful tribute. I can really identify as I have been thinking a lot lately about a friend who I lost some time ago. ~Jim
