Nature

Nature

A Poem by Marie

Green elms in the woods

with branches waving wildly

Standing tall and proud

The blood red rose droops

Its petals bend to the earth

Gently kissing it!

A pair of eloquent Haiku that belong together. The second compliments the first. I that read too much into things imagin the the elms calling wildly for anyone to pay attention to the rose now spent bent giving up its beauty of youth in the end of its days to kiss the earth from which it came.
