Evening Glory.A Poem by MarieSunset’s fiery glow spreads across the Western sky, as the burnished sun sinks low, a background for trees so high. The glowing backdrop compliments the many shades of green which vary from tree to tree, to paint a pretty scene. The flowers now begin to close; it’s almost time for sleep. The evening clouds of darkness slowly appear to creep. Replacing pink and baby blue, lemon and fluffy white. The silver moon appears, to herald the arrival of night. Sounds of the day now faded and gone silence reigns sublime and work of day is done. How lovely to walk in the cool summer breeze among nature’s treasures, our troubles soon cease. © 2024 MarieFeatured Review
