A most beautiful haiku that is so fitting for the season and sets a mood of peace knowing that the stock of food is in before the oncomming winter. A time of plenty and celebration. Timoleague (Tigh Molaige), Mhellia, Lammas, Mabon, Samhain. The moon being the marker of the harvest. Very nice

The Harvest Moon signals the end of harvesting in Ireland, Sky. So, many blessings are bestowed on the farming community as they have full and plenty to take them up to Springtime and planting and sowing again. The non-farming community are also blessed because they will have fresh produce right through the wintertime! For some reason, the harvest moon has always been held in higher esteem than its sisters, like the blood moon. Perhaps it's the suggestion of plenty, or maybe the end of the oppressive heat of summer. Whatever, this brief offering captures the feeling of mankind generally toward this phase of our satellite.

In Ireland, the harvest moon means it is the end of harvesting and of course, this very special moon is so beautiful, dear J. B... It often looks orange when it is near the horizon. This is because its light is passing through more layers of atmosphere than when it is overhead and it looks spectacular against the night sky.
