A Different Point of View.

A Different Point of View.

A Poem by Marie

Get to know me as a person
before you pass judgement on me.

Slip on my shoes and walk my way,

through my eyes you will clearly see

that life is seldom how we perceive.

We do not know the ends and outs,

the blows in life we all receive,

the haunting fears and nagging doubts.

But in my shoes soon you will see

‘The Path of Life’ I’ve wrought and

you may then be surprised to find

all is not as you once thought!

This poem's purpose is to encourage us as readers to practice empathy and refrain from snap judgments, fostering greater understanding and compassion in interpersonal relationships.

Because to often humans tend to judge without understanding...This is a poem about reality..

It's awful how people who haven't even lived a minute of your life always judge you for your choices. This poem definitely made some people feel understood. Thanks Marie. i see you.

As Joe South sang..."before you criticize and accuse, walk a mile in my shoes."
I think poets understand other poets best. But we are aliens to others and probably scare them a bit.
