I think so many poets love the rain because it is a continuous sign of hope and renewal and is so often looked to as a relieving thing (especially if you are or were recently in a drought). You captured that mindset here. The rain falls and leaves growth and green in its wake. Vivid and with a very peaceful feeling. I enjoyed it.

I love to be out in a shower of rain and have never yet got a head cold afterwards. I really like the way you described the rain as heaven's tears. As it always turns to be lush and green in the rainy season and yes kind a renewal of the earth's surface. Short but sweet.
