One of my countless faults (and regrets) is that I never learned to dance. How much easier meeting girls it would have been if I had only learned to move my feet without stepping on toes! That said, I love to watch people dance who are good at it.
In this delightful poem, the dance might be actual or metaphorical, but it describes an act that is synchronized and harmonic, a perfect union of two individuals. It is a dance many of us dream of. Excellent writing, Marie.

Oh, I am so sorry to read that you didn't learn to dance, Sam! It was indeed a wonderful way to meet the opposite sex and enjoy a wonderful time jiving the night away.
