Seeing God.

We journey to the sacred space within
to our inner sanctuary to meet with Him.
 
Where light, love and peace reigns
and scatters all of life’s woes and pains.

We feel composed, fully at ease,
happy and joyful, a powerful release.

Lost in the moment, we remain there
free from all worry and earthly care.

We feel renewed as we journey back
to the world again and the beaten track.

Life seems better, brighter too
when we see our God in all we do!

Amen.

Wow! What a write! In so few words and lines, you have portrayed how you feel when you meet with your God. It's a very spiritual write. God for many could mean and seem in different ways and forms. I like this encounter and experience with seeing God. The poem is also written so well in simple words yet powerful thoughts. I certainly relate... I was born at a Bible college, my father and both grandfathers were pastors, it is hard to imagine a more in-depth Christian upbringing. One of my earliest memories was standing on the end of my bed as mom put gold stars on a homemade chart for scriptures I had memorized... For my entire life I have never been outside his presence...

It's hard for me to imagine those who aren't able to have inward conversations with the creator. I do it all the time and it's just part of the way I think. We should be able to see God in all we do, for we did not bring ourselves into being. An inspiring poem, Marie.
