God asks each of us to see within each other a spark of Him, a spark of the divine. If we recognise The Source within each other we will treat each other with love and make our world a better place...
I am
the common every day person you meet
Each
time you walk down a crowded street
The
one who walks with a limp or utters in stammer
I tried to envisage this poem as God speaking to His children, telling each of us that a spark of Him lives within us, in the hope that we would see beyond colour, race, religion and be loving, kind, caring and helpful to each other as we walk the path of life in this lifetime...

Jesus didn't hang out with the wealthy and powerful, but with the kind of people found in this wise and inspiring poem. It is beyond my understanding why so many who call themselves "Christians" behave in ways so unlike Jesus. He threw the money-changers out of the temple, but now they're back in. (In many cases) Mega churches, prosperity gospel--these are not pleasing in God's eyes. I love this poem, for it speaks truth.

I get that "WE" are all equal in the eyes of God, and God is US. Well-written observation we should all remember.

You said in so few words what I wished to impart in my poem. Each of us is God having a human experience. I am SO happy you understood what I was trying to say! Gratitude with beautiful blessings your way, dear poet...
Although not religious, i really liked this poem...you showed just about every kind of human.. in a very descriptive way.... and in your eyes, they are all the same, yet under God!
I believe we are all the same, forgetting about our infirmities we are equal....
Warmly, B

The God of religion was created by mankind, but there is a higher energy and a little splinter of it lives within each of us which means that each of us IS God having a human experience, not that we are "under God", Betty. If only we could grasp that, our world would change overnight. Thank you so very much for reading and kindly commenting, dear Betty...

Thank you for your comments Marie, appreciated

If a man cannot find God in his fellow man it is doubtful he shall be able to find God elsewhere. John wrote, "God is love." If that be true (and I've no reason to doubt it) then what if people running around saying "I love you" all day long were forced to change the statement to, "I feel God for you." It might seem a bit less romantic but it certainly would weed out the liars pretty quick. F.

Hello Fabian and thank you for kindly reading this poem and for your encouraging review also. Love i.. read moreHello Fabian and thank you for kindly reading this poem and for your encouraging review also. Love is one of the most bandied about words in the English dictionary. There are many different kinds of love. Saying "I feel God for you" might leave your beloved looking at you as if you had ten heads on your shoulders. Love is the most beautiful energy and it is all that exists in the world of Spirit where, regardless of our beliefs in this lifetime, we will go when our soul leaves our body. Love and Light are all that exist there. I agree that if man cannot see God within his fellow man, it is unlikely he will ever treat with the love, care, appreciation, kindness that each of us should extend to each other. Instead of saying "I Love You" if we showed it instead through our words, deeds, actions, kindness, everybody would feel love and accepted for who they are and as a result that would make our human world so worth living in. It would be a little piece of heaven on earth. I am most grateful to you for your kindness in sharing your thoughts with me, dear poet and thank you with a very humble and appreciative heart. Wishing you a very lovely rest of the day to enjoy! Thank you again, Fabian...
