Really Excellent Marie. You do like yr 5-7-5s and you do them really well. The Other World of free-form Haiku awaits to be discovered, because 5-7-5 is really just the entry point. But you have to be in the mindset and the Zen moment. I liked this a lot ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I prefer the traditional Haiku but a close observation of “free-form” English haiku reveals that they are composed of two major segments. The majority of them are divided after the first or the second line and the rest near the middle, and thus they are in accord with the underlying structures of classical Japanese haiku. What do you think? So pleased you like this one. Thank you for your very inspiring and encouraging comment, dear poet...

For good examples, the Mainichi Haiku in English Website - run by Japan's largest Daily Newspaper, The Mainichi Daily News, publishes a Haiku a day throughout the year.

That's v-e-r-y interesting, dear red93! I am grateful to you for sharing with me, dear friend...
I saw your note to another reviewer and had to come by. There's hope for fairer weather in this poem, so I'll sure be disappointed if those wintery elements hang around. If it's any relief, the weather is sweltering here. Here's hoping that smiling sun returns to work immediately.

Thank you so very much for kindly reading and for your very encouraging comment. I have been following your weather in the papers and it really is so hot it must be unbearable, but I am hoping everybody has AC. I truly would prefer to have this weather than what you are experiencing at the moment, but a little warm sunshine would be nice. We're not used to temp's over 20 deg's C. They're only 13 today! Thank you so very much for reading, Sam and for your very kind comment. Wishing you a very nice, cool, pleasant rest of the day to enjoy, dear friend...

Now an overweight septuagenarian with a bad heart, I'd not last five minutes in it. Yes, my home has great air conditioning.

Being young had marvellous benefits which have declined with the passing years. We are all in the same boat, yet it is what we went through in our lives which has made us the kind of people we are today and I would like to add that we have come through all of that better, nicer, kinder, more empathic and loving and the world is a better place because of those qualities which we impart to all who cross our path in this lifetime. That said, if it was possible to turn back the hands of time to those days of growing up, I would not go back for all the gold in Fort Knox! I couldn't go through it all again!
I am so pleased your home has great AC. We don't have AC installed in Ireland because it is rare for our weather to go beyond 22 deg's C, Sam.
Wishing you a very lovely, blessed, peaceful and pleasant day to enjoy, Sam.
Take very good care of you, keep safe and well too. You are in my prayers, dear friend...
Delightful July brevity if only summer would hurry up and get here!!!

It's like winter down here, a very strong wind outside, the poor trees are bending to and fro. It's very cold and will rain any moment now! Most unusual weather for July 1st. Much the same up North here too Marie, we can but hope
I adore this poem's fragrance, the air of July seems to one of floral one there, a pretty scene to absorb into your heart, it has been a rainy one here, humid yet all the more green. I wish you a thrilling and healing month ahead my dear friend Marie!
Here July is heavy rain. Nice poem. Enjoyed reading
