Really Excellent Marie. You do like yr 5-7-5s and you do them really well. The Other World of free-form Haiku awaits to be discovered, because 5-7-5 is really just the entry point. But you have to be in the mindset and the Zen moment. I liked this a lot ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Thank you dear red93. I prefer the traditional Haiku but a close observation of “free-form” English haiku reveals that they are composed of two major segments. The majority of them are divided after the first or the second line and the rest near the middle, and thus they are in accord with the underlying structures of classical Japanese haiku. My understanding dear M is that our Friends the Japanese themselves prefer free-form Haiku because they are closer to the intentions of the Japanese originals. For good examples, the Mainichi Haiku in English Website - run by Japan's largest Daily Newspaper, The Mainichi Daily News, publishes a Haiku a day throughout the year.

When young, I worked manual labor out in heat like this and thought little of it. Now an overweight septuagenarian with a bad heart, I'd not last five minutes in it. Yes, my home has great air conditioning.

Good morning Sam. Thank you for your kind message. Being young had marvellous benefits which have declined with the passing years. We are all in the same boat, yet it is what we went through in our lives which has made us the kind of people we are today and I would like to add that we have come through all of that better, nicer, kinder, more empathic and loving and the world is a better place because of those qualities which we impart to all who cross our path in this lifetime. That said, if it was possible to turn back the hands of time to those days of growing up, I would not go back for all the gold in Fort Knox! I couldn't go through it all again!
I am so pleased your home has great AC. We don't have AC installed in Ireland because it is rare for our weather to go beyond 22 deg's C, Sam.
