Night Rainbow

You are
the beautiful rainbow
which spans the dark sky
of my life
In colours iridescent
you light up
the neon sign
in my heart
which says
I Love You!

I loved the Neon sign in rainbow colors.

Obviously this one was intended for someone close, someone who has given much meaning to the speaker's life. If it is not a spouse, it's someone who has fulfilled many of the duties of that office.

This poem came from my imagination having seen the most beautiful rainbow during the day, I considered what a rainbow would look like at night. I didn't know that night rainbows existed until I went looking for a graphic and found to my surprise that do indeed exist. The neon sign came from seeing a neon sign at the local garage which said "OPEN". So, the poem was simply for my own joy and not for anybody else, J.B. Thank you for reading and kindly commenting...
