From nowhere you came
Gentle as a lamb
to me

Out of the jungle of life
you bounded
straight into my heart

The empty space
filled by your presence
divine

Where you romp and play
surrounded by my love
You grow each day

more loved and dear
in every way

Hello again Thomas and thank you! Ireland used to be a wonderful country once upon a time, but now it is not safe, not in the towns, villages or cities. I used to take the train to Dublin very often, now I would not go on the train alone, it is not safe. It is a very sad reflection, but drugs have taken over this country and people don't know if they're coming or going from their use. A very sad reflection of the times we live in. Romanceful brevity at its very best

Tom, you always make me smile. Yes, I remember Lt. Kojak very well. Greek star Telly Savalas and his side kick Det. Crocker and Telly's brother George (the look so unalike!) was also in the series. It started in October 1973 and I always thought Theo Kojak was so funny with his never ending supply of lolly pops! Those were the 'good ol' days', Tom. Life is soooo very different now. Thank you for the trip back to yesteryear down Memory Lane, for the smiles your comment gave me and for so kindly reading and commenting on my poem! Gratitude with brightest blessings your way, Tom.
